It’s set to be a beery week with Craft Beer Rising this weekend. My beer of chocie this week is definitely Brigid Fire from Celt Experience.
Last week I attended a nifty food & beer pairing event at Ninth Ward, London with Celt & Northern Monk pitched against each other for every course (5 in total). Some of the beer matches are listed on the nifty picture below so you an try out similiar matches for yourself. Brigid Fire was paired with some filthy fried chciken and dam it was so good! This smoked rye IPA was perfection and the hot sauce set it off a treat. Brewed with oak smoked wheat, borrowed Biere de Garde yeast and dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin there is a depth of character to this beer.
